Bosch BioEntry W2 fingerprint reader is an IP based fingerprint access control for indoor and outdoor installation with 2-Factor-Authentication (Fingerprint and Card). The reader can be connected via OSDP or Wiegand to an AMC2. It remains possible to configure a random reader as enrollment reader. The maximum cable length for OSDP / RS485 bus system is 1200m with twisted wire pairs. You can connect a maximum of eight readers per interface. Address the reader using the optional configuration tool. In order to prevent problems by reading cards with contact-free card readers, follow the instructions when planning and installing contact-free readers. Avoid installing contact-less card readers behind metallic (i.e. conductive) cases or on metallic surfaces.
