The NetXpert XG2 can certify copper or fiber networks to 10G speeds using advanced Bit Error Rate Testing (BERT), pushing real data packets over the cable and measuring the results. This real world testing by NetXpert XG2, which proves the capabilities of new networks and helps to identify those older cable runs that can operate at higher speeds. The NetXpert XG2 is also equipped with a full suite of active network tests and tools to speed network installs, including PoE testing and network testing over WiFi. The NetXpert XG2 is designed to be the one device that can perform all the tests you need during an install, simplifying and speeding up the process.

With the largest touch display in its class, NetXpert XG2 PLUS guarantees easy operation and clear presentation of results. NetXpert XG2 PLUS offers highest reliability of results due to the unique combination of up to five different test methods for the evaluation of copper links - BERT (bit error rate test), SNR, Delay Skew, length of cable, and Wiremap. For fiber optic cabling, the NetXpert XG2 PLUS offers an attenuation test in addition to the BERT test, and through LiveLight™, an optical attenuation trend display to help troubleshoot in real-time.

NetXpert XG2 PLUS can perform active network tests such as DHCP, switch IP address, speed, gateway address, subnet mask, DNS server, lease time, response time, network discovery, ping, check for duplicate IPs, traceroute, LLDP, CDP, and check for VLANs. One extremely powerful tool is the ability to insert your SFP into the bay and check SFP properties. NetXpert XG2 and NetXpert XG2-PLUS qualify twisted pair cabling from 1Gb/s BERT to 10Gb/s BERT. With their unique combination of 4 measurement methods, these devices check whether your cabling can transmit Ethernet up to 10Gb/s without interference.
